Clover Lake Cottage is a historic vacation home  located in the heart of Granville, TN.  The cottage is near Cordell Hull Lake, a rural lake within the Cumberland River. One of the original homes of this rural community,  this country cottage has been completely remodeled and rennovated-all while still keeping its own unique country charm.

The Granville Mercantile has two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a full kitchen constituting 800 square feet of living space. The bedrooms each have their own private bath, large windows, and are nicely decorated—modern and contemporary. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and looks out to the Presbyterian church and the Granville Pioneer Village. The master also serves as the bride’s room, where she can enjoy preparations with her maid of honor and bridesmaids. The second bedroom has a full-size bed, and looks out onto our side yard with views of our main street and Pioneer Village. The kitchen area has a full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, a cozy island, a dining table, a comfortable daybed (perfect for lounging and/or sleeping) and a 50″ television. From the kitchen you step out to the deck and on to your back yard.

Granville Museum

The Granville Museum tells the story of the riverboat town of Granville, Tennessee. The museum contains a great pictorial display of every aspect of the history of Granville. Many historical items from homes, businesses, schools and the community are on display. The museum features a military, school and music room and a room with furnishings depicting a home in the early 1900's.

Built in 1922, the Granville Presbyterian Church now serves as our wedding chapel. The all-brick building with its center lancet window and twin steeples is striking in appearance. One tower contains a church bell from the 1880s, which we believe was originally installed in the 19th century church that this building replaced. You are welcome to ring the wedding bell on your big day!

The interior of the church features high wooden ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors, complemented by its uncommon curved pews of varying sizes. It's the perfect place to tie the knot or host your next event!

There are only two back to back pads available in a neighborhood setting so your visit will be quiet and relaxing.  We offer individual 50 amp electrical hookup (50amp male to 30amp female adapters required for 30amp service), 110 outlet, public water, and a septic dump station for each pad.  Pads are crushed stone for now.  Sites are located in the middle of town and within one block of the old Sutton General Store.  They are within a couple blocks from the Lakeside General Store.  Sites are also within a couple blocks of the post office, Veterans Park, Granville shops, museums, church and Sutton Homestead.  The new wedding chapel in the old Presbyterian Church and Granville Broom Works are just across the street. Looking for a campground, give us a call. Access to nearby boating, swimming, fishing, hunting and horseback riding are also available.

A short walk from the Cottage, you will feel like you have stepped back in time as you stroll through the historical village of Granville, nestled along the banks of the Cumberland River and Cordell Hull Lake.  There are unique shopping and places of interest such as the Granville Museum where you can learn about the history of this once noted 1900’s river boat town. Along the way you can check out the Sutton Store (as featured on Tennessee Crossroads), Sutton Homestead and the Granville Gift Shop. Then stroll over to the lakeside Veteran’s Park with a picnic lunch. Special note for nature lovers: this area of the Cumberland is well known for its geodes, arrow heads and driftwood.

The Hoot Camp in located in historic Granville, TN, situated just a mile from the town center and only two miles from Wildwood Resort and Marina. There are plenty of things to do during your stay, including antiquing, wine tasting, hiking and water sports. With large decks and a hot tub for relaxing, the Hoot Camp is ideal for rejuvenating your soul and enjoying sweeping views of the Cumberland River. Two restaurants, music and additional water activities nearby. Come and Enjoy!

Guest access

Enjoy the entire guest house and attached decks. Hot tub is for your private use although we would ask that you monitor your little ones while they are in the hot tub. The decks have amazing views of the Cumberland River and area mountains.
