If you are looking for a place to get away and, perhaps, a change of pace where you can just kick off your shoes, grab a good book and relax or take a nap on the porch, the Cottage at Granville will provide this and more. Or you may want to take a leisurely walk by the lake, where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and, if you like, even wet a fishing line along the bank. For the more serious water enthusiasts there is easy access from the Cottage to boating, fishing and water activities at any of the nearby boat launch locations including the Granville Marina, just minutes away.
A short walk from the Cottage, you will feel like you have stepped back in time as you stroll through the historical village of Granville, nestled along the banks of the Cumberland River and Cordell Hull Lake. There are unique shopping and places of interest such as the Granville Museum where you can learn about the history of this once noted 1900’s river boat town. Along the way you can check out the Sutton Store (as featured on Tennessee Crossroads), Sutton Homestead and the Granville Gift Shop. Then stroll over to the lakeside Veteran’s Park with a picnic lunch. Special note for nature lovers: this area of the Cumberland is well known for its geodes, arrow heads and driftwood.
We invite you to come and stay at The Cottage for a weekend, an entire week or even longer.
